  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of neutral oil. Allow it to shimmer.
  • Add 1 pound of ground turkey, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium and stir in 4 cloves of minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute.
  • In a bowl, whisk together ¼ cup honey, ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Pour the sauce into the skillet with the turkey and garlic. Stir to coat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Let the mixture simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Stir in sliced green onions, reserving some for garnish. Remove from heat.
