  • 1 pound ground beef a classic choice that brings hearty flavor to your beef lasagna
  • 4 cups marinara sauce use your favorite store-bought or homemade version for great taste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning adds authenticity and warmth to your dish
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder elevates the flavor profile

Cheese Mixture

Instructions
 

General Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook 1 pound of ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in 4 cups of marinara sauce and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes until bubbling.
  • In a bowl, combine 15 oz of ricotta cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix until smooth.
  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Place 3 no-cook lasagna noodles over the meat sauce.
  • Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles and sprinkle a third of the shredded mozzarella over it.
  • Repeat by adding another layer of meat sauce, 3 noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, and another third of the mozzarella.
  • Add a final layer of meat sauce on top, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Allow the lasagna to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Choose lean ground beef to avoid excess grease and enhance flavor. Let the lasagna rest before serving for better cutting.
