Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for extra heat

For the Sauce and Pasta

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta uncooked
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions
 

Steps

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season both sides of 4 chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cook the seasoned chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  • Sauté 4 cloves of minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
  • Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and deglaze the pan, bringing to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and bring back to a simmer.
  • Add 12 ounces of uncooked fettuccine pasta, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • Slice the cooked chicken into strips.
  • Stir in ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  • Add the sliced chicken back into the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle in ¼ cup of chopped parsley and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, stirring until melted.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve hot, garnishing with additional Parmesan and parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for longer storage. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth.
