Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, beat 4 large egg whites on medium speed until foamy.
Add ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar and continue beating until glossy.
Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while increasing the speed to high.
Gently mix in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract and optional almond extract if using.
Transfer meringue into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.
Pipe small circles for bodies and heads on the baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 2 hours until dry to the touch.
Turn off the oven and allow meringues to cool inside for 1 hour.
Gently lift the meringues from the parchment paper.
Assemble snowmen by stacking heads on bodies.
Use melted chocolate or icing to add eyes and noses.
Add mini marshmallows as buttons and hats.
Finish with colored sprinkles or edible glitter.
Transfer to a festive platter and serve.
