  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 large eggs acts as a binder

For Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt enhances flavor
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper adds a gentle kick
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano classic Italian herb
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil adds a warm note

For Cooking

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce perfect for drenching
  • olive oil for frying

Instructions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and ground pork. Mix until fully combined—about 1-2 minutes.
  • Incorporate breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh parsley, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten eggs, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and basil. Mix thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, roughly 1 inch in diameter. Aim for consistent sizes to ensure even cooking.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they’re all well-coated.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the sauce bubbles and meatballs are cooked through.
  • Allow the meatballs to sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure you mix the seasoning evenly and avoid overcrowding the pan when browning the meatballs for the best results.
