  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it shimmer.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  • Incorporate red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Add vodka to the skillet and stir. Cook for 2-3 minutes until alcohol evaporates.
  • Mix in crushed tomatoes and let them simmer for a few moments.
  • Sprinkle in salt and black pepper, stir, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a large pot of salted water, boil and add pasta, cooking according to package instructions.
  • Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Stir in heavy cream over low heat until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Add drained pasta to the sauce, gently tossing to coat.
  • Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
