Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese sharp
  • ½ cup diced jalapeños adjust for spice level
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 large egg for egg wash

Topping

  • sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning sprinkle on top

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛ inch thick.
  • Mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  • Cut the pastry into 1-inch wide strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of filling on one end of a strip, fold and twist to seal.
  • Arrange the twisted pastries on the baking sheet, spaced apart for puffing.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds or seasoning.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

These twists are best enjoyed warm and can be frozen for future cravings.
