Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 6 large eggs The foundation of any great deviled egg.
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise Adds creaminess; consider Greek yogurt for a healthier twist!
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard Offers a tangy kick.
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Balances the richness.
  • to taste Kosher salt Elevates flavors.
  • to taste Black pepper Adds gentle heat.

Instructions
 

Boiling and Cooling

  • Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low or turn it off completely and gently place the eggs into the water.
  • Turn the heat back up to high and set a timer for exactly 14 minutes.
  • Prepare an ice bath by filling a large bowl with ice and cold water.
  • After 14 minutes, transfer the eggs to the ice bath and cool for about 10 minutes.

Preparing the Filling

  • Peel the eggs and slice each egg in half lengthwise.
  • Scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl and mash until smooth.
  • Mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until creamy.

Filling and Garnishing

  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into each egg white half.
  • Sprinkle a dash of paprika over each filled egg.

Notes

For best flavor, make deviled eggs a few hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
