Instructions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Garlic Butter Steak Rigatoni

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add the rigatoni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, season the sliced steak generously with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until foamy.
  • Add the seasoned steak to the skillet in a single layer, cooking for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer, cooking for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, letting the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Return the cooked steak and drained rigatoni to the skillet, mixing thoroughly with the sauce. Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until well combined.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add a splash of beef broth or cream before sealing to keep pasta moist.
