  • Now, sprinkle in the ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt into the sauce. Stir well to combine.
  • If using dark rum, carefully pour it in now and stir to mix. Let the alcohol cook off for about 1 minute.
  • Gently lay the banana halves into the skillet, cut side down, and allow them to cook for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  • After 2–3 minutes, carefully flip the bananas to cook the other side for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  • Once cooked, remove the bananas from the skillet and serve warm, drizzling the cinnamon butter sauce over the top.
