  • Cream the Butters and Sugars by combining softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer for about 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add the Egg and Extracts by mixing in the egg yolk, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt on low speed until smooth.
  • Incorporate the Flour gradually by sifting in all-purpose flour and mixing until a soft dough forms. Optionally, fold in chocolate chips.
  • Chill the Dough by wrapping it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerating it for at least 1 hour.
