Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • Combine nut filling ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking dish with melted butter.
  • Layer half of the phyllo sheets in the dish, brushing each with butter.
  • Sprinkle nut mixture evenly over the phyllo layers.
  • Layer the remaining phyllo sheets over the nut filling, brushing each with butter.
  • Cut into a circular wreath shape before baking.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare honey syrup while baklava is baking by simmering syrup ingredients.
