Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Bars

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • ¾ cup Creamy peanut butter not natural
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs at room temperature
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups All-purpose flour spooned and leveled
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Fine sea salt

For the Mix-ins

  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate
  • ½ cup White chocolate chips
  • ¾ to 1 cup Valentine-colored M&M’s
  • 2 tablespoons Valentine sprinkles (optional)

For the Toppings

  • Flaky sea salt a sprinkle on top (optional)
  • ½ cup White chocolate chips for drizzle
  • 1 teaspoon Neutral oil for drizzling consistency

Instructions
 

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with butter or nonstick spray. Line with parchment paper.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and peanut butter until smooth. Add sugars and whisk until glossy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and mix-ins until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and press it evenly.
  • Press M&M’s and sprinkles onto the surface.
  • Bake for 18 to 24 minutes, checking at 18 minutes for doneness.
  • Press additional M&M’s and sprinkle sea salt on top while warm.
  • Cool completely for at least 1 to 1½ hours.
  • For optional drizzle, melt white chocolate and neutral oil together, then drizzle over bars.
  • Lift the bars from the pan and cut into squares or rectangles to serve.

Notes

Cool the bars completely for cleaner cuts.
