Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, stir together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cream together the unsalted butter and white sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract into the creamed mixture until well combined.
  • Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. If too crumbly, add milk one tablespoon at a time.
  • Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets with about 2 inches of space in between.
