For the Cake

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Flan

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ¾ cup caramel sauce

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather ingredients and equipment.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together.
  • Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the chocolate batter into a greased bundt pan.
  • Blend cream cheese, eggs, condensed milk, and caramel sauce until smooth. Pour over the chocolate batter.
  • Prepare a roasting pan with hot water and place the bundt pan inside.
  • Bake for approximately 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool gradually in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Invert onto a serving platter, drizzle with caramel sauce, and serve chilled.

Notes

Serve chilled with extra caramel drizzled on top for an added touch.
