Instructions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 7–10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  • Chop the cooked bacon into bite-sized pieces. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2–3 minutes until translucent.
  • In a slow cooker, combine the chopped bacon, sautéed onion and garlic, corn kernels, heavy cream, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook the mixture on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring halfway through.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and evenly distributed.
  • Before serving, garnish with chopped fresh parsley for added color and freshness. Serve warm.

Notes

For optimal flavor, stir halfway through the cooking time and store leftovers properly to maintain creaminess.
