  • Stir in the minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the can of diced tomatoes and chicken or vegetable broth. Bring to a gentle boil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the drained cannellini and red kidney beans. Bring back to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Cook the small pasta separately according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
