For the Dough and Cheese

  • 1 pound Pizza dough
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese

For the Filling

  • 20 slices Pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce

For Flavor

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Optional Topping

  • a few Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle approximately ⅛ inch thick.
  • Slice the dough into 12 strips that are about 1.5 inches wide and 8 inches long.
  • Lay two slices of pepperoni on each dough strip and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over them.
  • Roll the dough strips up into tight rose shapes and place them into the greased muffin cups.
  • Brush each rose with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Cool in the muffin pan for about 5 minutes before serving with marinara sauce and fresh basil leaves.
